The priorities for activities in 2026 were approved at the Executive Committee meeting held on November 26, 2025, in Lisbon, and are based on the achievements of the 2025 work program. They focus on the practical implementation of the revised Core Principles for effective deposit insurance systems, addressing the impact of digitalization, and developing the IADI’s forward-looking strategic program for 2026–2030.

Strategic goals and objectives will be defined by building on previous achievements while taking into account emerging trends. At the same time, the eight regional committees will continue to play an important role in advancing the IADI’s mission through capacity-building and training initiatives.
To support the comprehensive implementation of the Core Principles, the IADI will update its compliance assessment handbook, address implementation challenges such as crisis management and regulatory practices, develop a centralized platform for the exchange of legislation and regulatory frameworks in the field of deposit insurance, and launch a new training program to assist members in achieving compliance with the Core Principles.
In addition, the IADI will continue its ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening deposit insurance systems worldwide, including expanding annual data collection activities and deepening cooperation with members and international partners.
