Representatives of deposit insurance organizations from countries around the world took part in the meetings, discussing key challenges faced by participants of the financial safety net amid heightened uncertainty and the era of digital transformation.

On November 28, 2025, within the framework of the IADI General Assembly, important decisions regarding the organization’s leadership were adopted, once again reaffirming IADI’s commitment to the principles of international cooperation and diversity.

The General Assembly re-elected Alejandro López, Chief Executive Officer of the deposit insurance organization SEDESA (Argentina), for a second three-year term as President of IADI and Chair of the IADI Executive Council.

In addition, while maintaining its commitment to diversity in governance, the General Assembly elected 14 new members to the IADI Executive Council.

Kadyrbek Bukuev, Executive Director of the Deposit Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, was elected as a member of the IADI Executive Council.

At the meeting of the IADI Executive Council, Kadyrbek Bukuev was approved as Chair of the IADI Eurasian Regional Committee for a two-year term. His candidacy had been previously elected by the members of the Eurasian Regional Committee. This appointment highlights the growing role of the Kyrgyz Republic in the global deposit protection system and underscores efforts to strengthen financial stability within the framework of the IADI Eurasian Regional Committee.
